The purpose of this program is to promote self-reliance by providing support according to individual circumstances to those who are economically impoverished and may not be able to maintain a minimum standard of living.

Okinawa Prefecture offers consultation services with specialized consultants who will listen to problems you may be having in your daily life or work and provide practical advice to help solve these problems. Don't keep your worries to yourself; feel free to talk to us about even the smallest of your concerns.

(Sample) Support Menus

Employment and Job Training Support

• Includes personal consultations and support for job hunting and employment

• Includes workshops and job experience support for those feeling anxious about working or having difficulty communicating

Support for Improving Household Finances

• ”Visualizes” the current status of one’s finances to understand their financial situation and assist with loans or other means of support

• Includes support for the payment of rent, taxes, utility bills, and other arrears, as well as support in applying for various benefit programs

Temporary Living Support

This program provides support for basic life necessities, such as food, clothing, and shelter for a fixed term for those who have lost their homes.

• Housing Security Benefit （PDF 65.8KB）

This program provides rent assistance for a fixed term to those who have lost or are at risk of losing housing due to financial difficulties resulting from leaving a job, etc., on the condition that they engage in job hunting activities, etc.
