"Coincidence or planned?"
Prof. Kimura has a diving license. He teaches at a national university in Okinawa and is engaged in surveys of undersea ruins. All these involvements of his have a tie to the undersea ruins.
It is not a coincidence.

He asserted in his book "Mu Tairiku wa Ryukyu ni Atta" (The "Mu" [legendary sunken] continent was in the Ryukyus" published in 1991) that there were ruins in the Okinawan ocean.
" To a certain extent I assumed that there were undersea ruins in the Okinawan ocean. Although it is not a well-known fact to the public, the possibility of underwater civilization has been mentioned in the field of marine geology.
All of a sudden, such an advanced Egyptian civilization was discovered, so we believe there must be a lost culture before that. "
Marine geologists think that the lost civilization was once on ground level, but now it has sunk into the ocean. The ocean surface has risen land100 meters in the past 20,000 years. We believe that this fact scientifically explains our assertion. If there was such a " pre-ancient " civilization existing somewhere off the coast of Japan, it must be in Okinawa.
Finding the ruins in Yonaguni could be only the beginning, before we find more elsewhere in the world."
Prof. Kimura took a number of steps to pursue his study. An invitation to teach at the University of the Ryukyus was one of them.

"The impact on world history."

There is a chance of finding more undersea ruins elsewhere in the world which might explain the ancient culture, to do so, more geologists' support is needed.
The history of the world might be reviewed. The roots of mankind might be unveiled too. The finding in Yonaguni may change all this, and the name of Yonaguni will be remembered.
" I want the Okinawa Prefectural Government to set up an organization so that more specialists have a chance to investigate the ruins. I also want people around the world to see the site. It should not be a difficult task now to maintain its condition as a cultural asset, because access to the site is not easy for everyone. I want the local government to discuss the matter of maintaining the ruins as a world asset."
Now, the next big question will be answered. What were the ruins anyway? Prof. Kimura gave his opinion, although answering this question was not his specialty.
" Around the ruins, there are places that look like they were towns and farm land. The ruins over look these areas. We believe they might have been a castle or a shrine. Yonaguni Island was mountainous in the past.
The geography of the island matches the environment of the site. There was an organization to the town, and someone was leading it. This might be the birthplace of Asian culture."
The geography at the Machu Picchu ruins in Peru is similar to the one in Yonaguni. The solariums made from stone found at both sites resemble each other.

There are many mysterious ruins in the world. We need to find out the relationship between our ancestors and these ruins. This will be one of the main themes for scientists to study in the 21th century.

Conclusive proof may emerge from the ocean in Okinawa.

Stands 25 meters tall and 100 meters long. This megalithic structure was artificially formed. There are a few more ruin-like findings off the coast of Okinawa. However this one in Yonaguni is the largest in size, and the only authenticated one.
