 Okinawa Special Free Trade Zone tour

The Special Free Trade Zone, located in the Nakagusuku Bay land-filled area, was established by the Okinawa Prefecture to support corporations who want to develop strong business relationships with Asian Pacific regions and help them become internationally competitive. It is the only industrial zone in Japan offering investment incentives such as a 35% reduction on corporate tax, a 5-year grace period on business tax and fixed property tax for tenyears, full exemption of real estate acquisition tax, an investment fund, and a support fund for businesses employing the younger workers.



Appian Co. Ltd.,

The Special Free Trade Zone industrial tour aims to introduce the many investment opportunities and incentives that are open for businesses in the Special Free Trade Zone on Okinawa, especially in the IT related industries. Participants of the tour, which started on July 19th, have been able to view first-hand Okinawa's excellent investment climate as well as visit the businesses and factories operating at the Special Free Trade Zone. Upon arrival, they were given a tour of the area and taken on a visit to Acrorad Co. Ltd., a firm specializing in the production of medical semiconductors, and Appian Co. Ltd., a company engaged in the importation of tiles for the Japanese market.


The tour on July 22nd and 23rd will visit rental factories in the area instead of Acrorad Co.Ltd., and Appian Co.Ltd.,.
