Opening of the "Okinawan Information Center"
In order to provide the media with comprehensive information on Okinawa, an "Okinawan Information Center" will be set up at the International Media Center (the base for the journalists' activities during the summit). The Center will provide information on Okinawan tourism, culture, crafts, local products.

    • Arts and Crafts Demonstration Section:
      Demonstration of typical Okinawan arts and crafts (Ryukyuan splash patterns, Shuri textiles, Tsuboya-aki ceramic arts, Ryukyuan lacquer ware, Kijoka's banana tree textiles, Ryukyuan bingata）
    • Art and Crafts Exhibition Section:
      An exhibition of "Living National Treasures" (intangible but significant cultural assets designated by the government)
    • Tourist Information Section :
      A panel exhibition of Okinawaﾕs tourist spots and other interesting tourist information
    • Products Section :
      Exhibition and sales of local products
    • Information Section :
      Pamphlets and CD-ROMs containing information on Okinawa
    • Others :
      Product tasting and sampling : Awamori and Bukubuku tea
